Artist Statement

Self expression is a necessary routine for me. It is a neverending passion and a means of therapy allowing me to express thoughts, emotions, fantasies and reactions to personal life experiences and the world around me. It encompasses all the facets of me that I cannot manifest any other way. And this need to create defines me.

My work is influenced by industrial and urban subject matter, heavy metal music, electronica, robots, pop culture, erotica, conflict, video games, frustration and science fiction.

Computer graphics is my medium of choice but the foundation of my work always begins with my sketches, drawings and photography. I keep my signature style intentionally 'gritty and dirty' never allowing the 'clean and polished' look of computer graphics software to interfere with my art-making process. In my approach, 'the language' of low resolution is more profound than high resolution.
